when life gives you?

Catharsis.

Meaning: “purification (…) of emotions (…) primarily through art.”1
Origin: katharos (Greek) > “pure”; kathairein (Greek) > “cleanse”.

And that’s what we f-ing gonna do.

What would you do if your appearance changes?
It’s not aging. It’s your health.
Nothing threatening, but it matters.
Would you accept it? Or would you act on it?

I went for the second. In the end.
The way there was bumpy. And long.
But it was more than worth it.

If you follow my projects for the last 3 years, you might recognize something.
The talent to hide my right eye with various poses.
The talent to hide in general.
A way to accept. Back then. A way to perform. Even impaired.

I decided to face this process head on and in the end also document it.
Thank you, Robert

This was me, 2 days after the surgery.
1 month prior: another surgery.
This was me, not working out for 1 month. And 2 more months needed to follow.
Healing.
This is me without Photoshop and/ or retouch.
This is: the bare truth. #1 and #2
